Solution 11731: Correcting the Error "ASAP or Exec string too long" Using the TI-89 Family, TI-92 Plus, and Voyage™ 200.
How do I correct the error ASAP or Exec string too long when running an assembly language program using the TI-89 family, TI-92 Plus, and Voyage 200?
On Advanced Mathematics Software (AMS) 2.03 and above, the size limit of an assembly language program that can be executed is 24k. If an assembly language program larger than 24k is executed using the TI-89 family, TI-92 Plus, and Voyage 200, the error message ASAP or Exec string too long is displayed.
To correct this error, refer to the program's documentation. Most programs come with documentation that states what is needed to execute the program such as shells, ions, or specific AMS versions.
Texas Instruments does not provide any assistance in locating, downloading, or installing shell programs, ions, or 3rd-party operating systems for use with assembly language programs.
Please see the TI-89 family, TI-92 Plus, and Voyage 200 guidebooks for additional information.
